We’re sharing what’s on around The Hills this winter to help you and the family on their toes this winter.

Hills World Cup Football Fan Zone

Experience the excitement of the FIFA World Cup right in the heart of the Hills Shire at the Hills World Cup Football Fan Zone, held at Rouse Hill Town Centre.

Residents and visitors are invited to come together and enjoy a festival of football, with a selection of live match screenings on the big screen in Market Square’s outdoor precinct. Featuring key tournament fixtures, including all Australia matches, the Fan Zone will create a vibrant community space for fans to cheer, celebrate and experience the world’s biggest sporting event locally.

Bring family and friends, soak up the atmosphere, and be part of the global football excitement without leaving your neighbourhood.

Adult Fitness Classes with Live Life Get Active

Get moving and feel your best with FREE Live Life Get Active fitness classes at Bella
Vista Pocket Park.
These inclusive 45-minute sessions are designed for adults aged 18 and over and
cater to all fitness levels. Whether you’re looking to build strength through cross- training, improve flexibility with yoga, or try something new with paired boxing, there’s something for everyone.
Led by supportive instructors, the classes focus on improving physical, mental and social wellbeing while providing a fun way to stay active and connect with your local community.

night out exploring different precincts, and take in the city in a completely new light during Vivid Sydney.

NAIDOC Week, running from 5–12 July 2026, is a national celebration of the histories,
cultures, achievements and contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. This year’s theme, “50 Years of Deadly”, marks five decades of recognising and elevating First Nations voices, leadership, resilience and cultural pride.

There are plenty of opportunities to get involved and celebrate across Sydney during NAIDOC Week.

Yarn at the Farm

The Hill Shire residence are invited to celebrate First Nations culture during the
school holidays at Bella Vista Farm.
Delivered in partnership with local First Nations enterprise Muru Mittigar, the event
will feature storytelling and cultural performances, free arts and crafts, dance workshops, sporting activities, market stalls and First Nations-inspired food. The event provides an opportunity for community connection, learning and respect while celebrating the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

NAIDOC Week at Darling Harbour

Join the NAIDOC Week celebrations at Darling Harbour and take part in a week-
long program recognising Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander histories, cultures and communities. The event celebrates the world’s oldest continuous living cultures and reflects on the significance of this year’s theme, “50 Years of Deadly”, honouring the strength, achievements and enduring cultural heritage of First Nations peoples.

Time: Sunday 5 July – Sunday 12 July 2026
Place: Darling Harbour, Sydney
